Bosch: Legacy, a spinoff series from the Bosch franchise, has been renewed for a third season by Amazon Freevee. The renewal was made prior to the upcoming fall premiere of the second season.
The television series Bosch: Legacy features the professional life of Harry Bosch, a former homicide detective turned private investigator. The show includes various characters such as Honey “Money” Chandler, an attorney, and Maddie Bosch, a rookie police officer.
The Amazon series’ second season follows the collaboration of characters Bosch and Chandler as they pursue a murderer. The show, produced and written by Connelly, had seven seasons and starred Welliver as Bosch.
According to Lauren Anderson, the head of AVOD originals, unscripted and targeted programming, Amazon Studios has renewed Bosch: Legacy, which is a testament to the lasting appeal of Michael Connelly’s world. The story of Harry Bosch has continued to develop, and more is yet to come. Anderson and her team are enthusiastic about providing Bosch fans with the next installment in the series for these beloved characters.
The cast for the second season of Bosch: Legacy will include both returning and new actors such as Jamie Hector, Stephen A. Chang, Denise Sanchez, David Moses, David Denman, Patrick Brennan, Rafael Cabrera and Guy Wilson.
Bosch: Legacy is created by Fabel Entertainment and overseen by a team that includes Michael Connelly, Eric Overmyer, Tom Bernardo, Henrik Bastin, Pieter Jan Brugge, and Titus Welliver in executive producer roles.
Amazon Studios is making two police dramas based on Connelly’s Harry Bosch universe. The first follows Detective Jerry Edgar, Bosch’s ex-partner, as he goes undercover for the FBI in Little Haiti, Miami. Jamie Hector, who starred in Bosch, will reprise his role. The second project centers around Detective Renee Ballard, a character not previously featured in the Bosch series, as she leads the LAPD’s new cold-case unit.
