Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone has become quite the popular show during it’s run. It’s success even led to two spinoff shows which depict the origins of the famous Dutton ranch, “1883” and “1923.” However, now there is news of the multifaceted Kevin Costner who plays John Dutton III masterfully leaving the series. Sources close to him say he may the exit the show owing to Costner’s shooting schedule, which makes the actor less and less available for shoots.
Another source close to Paramount studio says there are plans to expand the “Yellowstone” universe with many characters appearing in the new show, as well as some new actors said to be joining. One such actor rumored to be joining the cast of the new “Yellowstone” is Matthew McConaughey. However as always, the studios want to keep hush hush about it, so a spokesperson for Paramount had this to say.
“We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone, and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come,”
The spokesperson said in a statement.
“Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner.”
He added.
Having watched all of Sheridan’s current shows I can tell you for sure that indeed the worlds this filmmaker creates are truly enticing and the stories ever so alluring. Other than the “Yellowstone” universe which includes “1883” and “1923”. Taylor Sheridan has also created “Mayor of Kingstown” which stars powerhouse Jeremy Renner in the titular role and “Tulsa King” which stars acting legend Sylvester Stallone as the main protagonist.
