In 2003 the Black Sabbath singer had a near-fatal quad-bike accident. Even two decades later, the injury remains quite problematic for Ozzy. The 74-year-old has undergone extensive surgeries, especially in the past four years. A fall at home led to this outcome; in 2019, Ozzy fell at home, which further aggravated his injuries. Then only a year later, in 2020, he informed fans that he was suffering from Parkinson’s. Taking to Instagram, he wrote:
“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans.”
“As you may all know, four years ago this month I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine. My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage.” He added.
Osbourne told his whopping five million followers that his voice was still very good, but his physical health was declining to an extent that he could no longer tour.
“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held on to your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required,” he said.
We do wish him a speedy recovery, and some in our firm (who are die hard fans) are heartbroken that they not be able to see him perform anymore.
