Get ready to travel back in time with Dinasours because Prehistoric Planet is set to come back with its second season. Apple TV+ has officially announced the renewal of the popular natural history series, produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit. The executive producers of the season are Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton. Narrated by the legendary David Attenborough, the second season will consist of five episodes and is scheduled for global release on Monday, May 22, exclusively on Apple TV+.
The first season of Prehistoric Planet took viewers on a breathtaking journey back in time, showcasing the habitats and inhabitants of ancient Earth, such as Dinosaurs, never like before. The new season promises to be even more exciting and immersive with state-of-the-art technology. Viewers will encounter new dinosaur species, including the Tarchia, one of the largest Ankylosauri, alongside fan favorites, including the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.
Apple TV+ Creative Director, Jay Hunt, expressed excitement about collaborating with Jon Favreau and BBC Studios for the new season.

The second season of Prehistoric Planet will feature an original score by renowned Oscar winner Hans Zimmer, along with Anže Rozman and Kara Talve for Bleeding Fingers Music. The series is produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit with support from the photorealistic visual effects of MPC (The Lion King, The Jungle Book) applied to concept art created by Jellyfish Pictures (The Book of Boba Fett, Spirit: Untamed).
